A Memorial Mass for Zopito "Joseph" DeAngelo 85 of Ormond Beach who passed away on January 16 2009 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday January 20 2009 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 500 N. Nova Rd Ormond Beach FL. Born on November 14 1923 in Riverside New Jersey to Felice & Amelia DeAngelo Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the 701st Tank Battalion during WWII seeing action in France England and Germany and was a survivor of the first wave attack on Normandy Beach. After three years of service he returned home to Riverside NJ and met Lillian the love of his life whom he was married to for 55 years. He loved to sing karaoke and enjoyed entertaining friends and family either with a quick joke poem or a funny story. Beside his family his greatest joy was hanging out in the garage in his workshop and touring the neighborhood on his bike. Joseph is survived by his wife three children and three grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and loved him. The sky won't seem as blue and the flowers won't smell as sweet.
