Woody Widmaier's Obituary
Woody Widmaier, age 62, changed his address from earth to heaven on January 10, 2018, at his home in Jacksonville, Florida with family at his side. Woody was born on December 16, 1955, in Quincy, Illinois to Barbara and Charles W. Widmaier, Sr., and the family moved to Florida when Woody was two years old. He graduated from Seabreeze High School in 1973 and Florida State University in 1977. Woody was Vice-President of Widmaier Oil Company for over 26 years as well as broker and owner of Woody and Associates Realty for 12 years. Woody's passion was his family. He considered his two sons, Matthew Ryan and Justin Garrett to be his greatest accomplishments. Woody also loved restoring cars, trucks, and houses; when he finished each project, it was amazing. Woody was predeceased by his father, C. W. Widmaier, Sr., and his sister, Alison "Misty" Widmaier and is survived by his mother, Barbara "Bobbie" Widmaier. Woody is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandi Dowling Widmaier; son Matthew and wife Jenny Burkett Widmaier and their children Charlotte, Rollins, Simms and Ebby; son Justin and wife Jen Morris Widmaier and their children Grayson and Merrick; sisters-in-law April Dowling Sears and Reagan Dowling Hicken and their families; and mother-in-law Sylvia Dowling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
Woody's Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018, beginning with visitation at 1:00 pm with service at 2:00 pm, at Lohman's Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach FL 32174.
