Wilma Orene Nutter Sandy , 90, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday (May 3, 2018) to join her husband, Lenard G. Sandy Sr., on their 71st wedding anniversary.

Orene was born and raised in Clarksburg on July 20, 1927 to the late Presley H. Nutter and Lectie Cottrill Nutter. She graduated from Victory High School in 1946. For nearly 50 years, she worked at Sears in downtown Clarksburg, Middletown Mall, Meadbrook Mall and Ocala, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lenard G. (Len) Sandy Jr.; a sister, B. Lois Nutter; brothers-in-law, Reverend Morris B. Davis and Reverend Omer J. Sharp.

MeeMee's precious grandsons were her life, Clayton (CJ) Fryar and Mitchell Fryar.

She is survived by her daughter, Lenarda (Narda) Fryar and favorite son-in-law, Timothy Fryar; sisters, Rosalie Davis and Retta Sharp; brothers, Marvin and Debbie Nutter, Don and Ruth Nutter; along with 10 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and the funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond; Lohman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
