Willie McCladdie Jr. Born August 17 1926 to Willie McCladdie Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth Bennett McCladdie in Kiokee Columbia County Georgia. Willie lived in Augusta GA until the age of 20 when he moved to North Carolina and worked as a seasonal resort porter and traveled to New York until permanently moving to Daytona Beach FL in 1946. He then married Margaret McFashion on March 31 1947 for the remainder of his life. He was a Maitre'D at the Oceanside Country Club and loved his job. He was a faithful member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church for over 50 years were he served in the male choir as an usher various positions on the Vestry and many other roles. Willie loved golf and was an avid follower of "The Masters" in his hometown of Augusta. He attended over 15 Masters Tournaments. Willie was a proud husband and father of five children. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Margaret his children; Brenda (Roland) Atlanta GA Willie III (Stephanie) Montgomery AL Robbie Daytona Beach FL Lucy Atlanta GA Katherine Atlanta GA 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and his sisters; Helen White Michigan and Jeanette McCladdie Augusta GA and his step-mother Eulethia McCladdie GA along with a host of nieces nephews and friends. A service in his honor will be Friday February 15 2008 11:oo AM at Grace Episcopal Church 4110 S Ridgewood Ave Port Orange The family invites you to gather at 741 Ellen St Daytona Beach at 10:15 AM prior to the service. Visitation will be Thursday 02/14/2008 6-8 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home.
