William Ernest Way, Sr., 75, of Daytona Beach, originally of Vestal Center, NY, passed away Friday the 14th of March from a long illness. Mr. Way moved to this area for the second time in 1990. He served his country in the Navy during the 1950's and retired from the State of California, where he was a municipal employee.

Survivors include three sons, Billy, Jack and Tom Way all residing in Illinois. William is also survived by four grand-daughters Jackie, Renea, Caroline and Heather, six great-grandchildren, a very special grand-niece Dorothy Sluder and her seven children, his sisters Bev, Helen and Mildred, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. William is preceded in death by his parents Ernest William and Ellen Way and his sisters Dorothy, Thelma and Alice.

A celebration of William's life is scheduled for Thursday March 20, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. ~ 8:00 P.M. at the Lohman ~ Daytona Funeral Home located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
