William "James" Thomson, age 52, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2025.

James was born on June 21, 1973, in Greenock, Scotland, grew up in Elizabeth NJ. After graduating high school he proudly enlisted in The United States Marine Corp., and finally in 2004 relocated to Florida, where he built a life centered around hard work, laughter, and family. He worked as an electrician, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
James is survived by his mother Margaret Varrallo, his loving children, his aunt Jean Leith, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Above all else, James was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, Tyler Thomson, Hayley Thomson, and Shane Thomson. Where some of his happiest moments were found in simple joys—playing mini golf, go-kart racing, and creating memories.

James has left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He will be remembered for his warmth, laughter and his love for his family.

A Celebration of William's Life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, 2:00 PM at Lohman's Funeral Home Daytona.
