William T. "Bill" Miller Jr. founder and co-owner with his wife Connie of Granada Jewelers died unexpectantly on Friday Nov. 18 2011 at FL Hospital. A tribute and celebration of his life will be held Wednesday Nov. 23rd at 3pm. His family will receive friends from 1-3pm preceding the service. Born in West Virginia to Bill Sr. and Avis Miller Bill's family moved to Ormond Beach where Bill fell in love with Florida and his city be the sea. After college at University of W. Virginia Bill returned to Ormond Beach. He worked as a jeweler for 40 years working first with Gordon Jewelers then opening "Murphy's Kiosk which lead to his own jewelry store "Granada Jewelers" which he and his wife have operated for 18 years. He was commonly referred to as Ormond's Hometown Jeweler". Bill was one of the founders of Ormond Mainstreet served on the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was a member of the Ormond Rotary. He was Instrumental in the Ormond Chamber Building Campaign the Ormond Beach Median project and the Rotary Silent Santa program. Bill was a loving a husband father and grandfather. He and Connie were married for 32 years. He is survived by his family who will cherish their memories of the holidays and their family business; His two sons William (Rhonda) Miller and Brian (Amber) Miller his five grandchildren Blake William Hanna Maria Hunter Michael Monica Hamm and Emma Powers; his sister Suzanne Pugh and his niece and nephew.
