Obituary

One of our dear and special friends Scott Hawkins passed away on Saturday October 29th 2011. For those of us that were blessed to know Scott we all encountered a heavy heart on the news of his death. As I try to summarize Scott's life I find myself smiling. If you knew Scott and spent just a few seconds with him he would have you cracking up. That's what made Scott so special he filled a room with laughter. I can't recall a time that I was around Scott and his many friends that we were all not laughing. Scott had a way of doing that. He was bigger than life and the life of the party. I wish I could list all his friends but that would be an impossible feat due to the amount of friends he had. One friend called Scott ""The Friendship Network Coordinator"" I couldn't agree more. Scott loved the Holidays spending time with his friends and family. Every Christmas his family would host a party for friends family and neighbors. Scott carried that family tradition into adulthood hosting many memorable parties we'll all reflect on for years to come. Scott had a love for the water and was an avid water skier. He would spend most of his weekends during his twenty's on Lake Wildcat skiing and having a blast with his friends. Scott eventually purchased his own MasterCraft performance ski boat he loved that boat and was so proud of it! That boat would become the first of many boats he would own and captain heading down to disappearing island as often as possible always with a crew made up of family and friends having a blast. He enjoyed snow skiing NASCAR Racing and the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. He was a member of the swim team and Ski team growing up in Greenfield Massachusetts . He enjoyed playing Golf as often as possible. I hope your getting the picture Scott loved having fun. Scott was also a business Entrepreneur he was the Founder and President of Hawkins Environmental in Daytona Beach FL a golf course development company also specialized in wetlands mitigation. Scott had so much talent but his best gift by far was his friendship. Scott was fun loving had a great heart and had your back if needed. Scott was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife Gabriel (Gabby) Arnone-Hawkins on October 31 2009 and his father William (Bill) Hawkins on January 15 2005. He is survived by his mother Barbara (Barb) Hawkins his two brothers Doug and his wife Heidi Hawkins Danny Hawkins and his Sister Dee Dee and her husband Rick Cox. Although Scott had no kids of his own he loved and adored his nephews Ben and Josh Cox and nieces Cassidy and Chelsea Hawkins. Scotty may you rest in peace. We'll all cherish the times we had with you and what times they were. We love you and miss you. Your Family and Friends.
