William "Bill" H. Richardson, 91, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 1, 2017.
He was born in Atlanta, GA on June 26, 1925. He graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL in 1943. He served in the Army/Air corp as a B-25 bomber pilot during WWII in the Pacific Theater and upon his return married his high school sweetheart. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation while working at Life Insurance Company of Georgia where he retired after 35 years. He started FSU Insurance in 1981, a family run agency that now includes his two sons, Scott and Marty, and his grandson, Sean. An avid golfer, he was a member of Tuscawilla Country Club for 40 years, where he served as an Ambassador Member. He loved the Lord and served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon at First Baptist Church, Homestead, FL, First Baptist Winter Park, FL and First Baptist Church, Tuscawilla, FL, where they were founding members. Bill is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ernestine and his three children, R. Martin (Jill) Richardson (Port Orange,FL), Candy (Pat) Huau (Peachtree City, GA), W. Scott (Dianne) Richardson (Winter Springs, FL); six grandchildren, Hollie Locklear, Andrew (Julie) Huau, Crystal (Turner) Mills, Sean (Melissa) Richardson, Katie (Mike) Moore, and Travis Richardson; 8 great grandchildren, Forrest (Chelsea) Locklear, Wesley Dodgen, Katie Dodgen, Cooper Huau, Holden Huau, William Huau, Ava Huau, and Caleb Moore. A Celebraton of Life service will be held Saturday, April 8 at 10:30 at Living Hope/First Baptist Tuskawilla, 9500 Dike Road, Winter Park, FL 32792.
