William "Bill" Cook, 93, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Bishop's Glen.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 15th at 11:00 am at St. Brendan Catholic Church; 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd. Ormond Beach, followed by full military honors at Volusia Memorial.
He was born in Quincy, Illinois to Walter Morris and Anna Gray Cook. He has been a resident of Volusia County since 1970 relocating from Duluth, Minnesota.
William retired after 28 years with the rank of Major from the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed handball, swimming, ping pong, gardening, bike riding, and socializing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
William is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean M. Cook of Ormond Beach, by two sons, Reed and Cindy Cook of Bradenton, Florida and Timothy Joseph and Kimberley Cook of Charleston, S. Carolina, by two daughters, Susanna Maria Cook of Houston, Texas and Mary F. Cook of Atlanta, Georgia as well as nine grandchildren.
