William Gettys Neil Sr. of Palm Coast Florida died February 6th 2010 at his residence with his family at his side. A gathering of friends to celebrate his life will be held at Lohman Funeral Home 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast Florida on Sunday February 21 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

William was born October 29 1929 in Lugoff South Carolina to James Gettys and Lucille Pressly Neil. William worked for DuPont as a Power Operator. William moved to Flagler Beach in the early 80's. He was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church of Camden SC.

William is survived by his fianc Wilhelmina Gardner Dunn of Palm Coast his son William G. Neil Jr. of Palm Coast his daughter Victoria and husband John Anthony Petno of Tavares FL his granddaughter Adrienne Region of Tavares FL and great-grandchildren Jordenne Region and Carmen DeJesus-Region his brother Rev. Frank Alexander Neil of Dillon SC and his nieces Lyn Neil of Dillon SC and Jan Farrell of Camden SC. He is preceded in death by his parents his brother James Neil Jr. of Winnsboro SC and sister Rachel Williams of Columbia SC.
