William E. Larabel, 93, of Deland, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.  He was born on December 4, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William and Theresa Larabel.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11am at St. Peters Catholic Church, Deland, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  William enjoyed spending time with his family and boating.  He enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida Gators.  William was married to his beloved wife, Barbara for 59 years from 1949 to her passing in 2008.  He was a member of the Army Air Corps in World War II as a radio operator in B-17's.  Bill and Barbara relocated from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Florida in the 1950's where he owned and operated Larabel's Body Shop until his retirement in 2003.  He is survived by his sons, Bill, Mark and Troy; Daughter, Melissa; SonInLaw, David; DaughterInLaws, Mary, Linda, and Joanne; GrandChildren, Rayna, Marc, Tanya, Jacob, Olivia, Trey and Dennis; Brother, Dale; Sister, Bonnie; GreatGrandChildren, Ivy, Sky, Sage, Star, Rion, Jade, Rowan, Kiana, Dru, and Jonah.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Deland.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950  Condolences and memories are welcome to be shared with the family through our on line guestbook at lohmanfuneralhome.com
