Memorial services for William L. (Bill) Johns 88 of Port Orange who passed away on March 7 2007 will be held at 11 a.m. Friday March 16 2007 at the Daytona Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park. Bill was born on May 15 1918 to the late Lee Roy and Julia Johns in Detroit Michigan. After high school he entered the U.S. Army where he honorably served his country during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and a driver for Holsom Bread. Bill's greatest passion in life was for his family and his love for people. He leaves to cherish his memory his children William B. Johns (Nancy) Gregory Lee Johns (Eileen) and Cindi Nowacki; grandchildren Jason Tommy Greg Brian Aaron and Brittany; brother Tom Johns; sister Marilyn Roland and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Myrtle.
