William Jack "Red" Thomas 82 passed away November 25 2011. A graveside service in his honor will be held Wednesday November 30 2011 at 12:00 P.M at Daytona Memorial Park. Red was the beloved husband of Sue Thomas for 61 beautiful years and is at peace with his late son Rudy Thomas. He is remembered by his children; Vicki (Mike) Nixon Gary (Mary) Thomas Paul (Carole) Thomas and Rob (Katherine) Thomas. Red is survived by his 8 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Red also leaves behind his sister Ruby Jane Gillespie. Red was a big fan of University of Tennessee Volunteers he was often seen in his yard wearing a straw hat and shorts meticulously tending to his lawn and retired after 36 years from Southern Bell. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband father grandfather and father-in-law.
