William ?Bill? Hostettler 69 formerly of Winona MN went home to the Lord on his 69th birthday May 31 2006. He was the son of the late Edward and Herta Hostettler. Bill was raised in Winona MN a place he called ?God?s Country? and graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Business. It was while growing up in Winona that Bill developed a love for boating which he enjoyed for over twenty years on the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers. Upon Bill?s Graduation he moved to Minneapolis and began a career as a NASDAQ market maker which spanned more than 40 years. He received many awards and served on the Board o the National Security Traders Association during his distinguished career. After his retirement in 1999 Bill and his wife Sandy moved to Ormond Beach where blessed with many new friends. Bill quickly became involved with the Ormond Beach Lions and found fulfillment in being able to help those less fortunate. He also became an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and found peace in his love of the Lord. He served on Grace?s Finance Committee and was Administrator of Grace?s Garden of Resurrection. Bill enjoyed his retirement years to the fullest. He was an avid NASCAR fan enjoyed reading traveling crossword puzzles dickering on his computer and had a special place in his heart for the Minnesota Vikings. In addition to being survived by his devoted wife of 21 years Sandra Ormond Beach; Bill leaves behind his three beautiful children Jane Michael Dermody Port St. Lucie FL; Paul Lisa Hostettler St. Paul MN; and Julie Matt Carretero Ringwood NJ; his loving sisters Ruth Streater and Norma Henthorne both of Winona MN; five beautiful granddaughters and one adorable grandson. He greatly loved his three nephews and two nieces who also survive him. Bill will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was a shining light that has now dimmed. A memorial service celebrating Bill?s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church with The Rev. Virginia K. Barnes officiating at 2 p.m. on Thursday June 8 2006.
