“Billy” William Jennings Hartman, Jr., 66, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026. He was born on December 5, 1959, in Norfolk County, Virginia. After growing up and living the majority of his life in South Carolina, it was his lifelong dream to retire in Florida. Billy lived life at full throttle. If you knew Billy, you knew two things: he was the ultimate University of South Carolina fan, and his heart belonged entirely to his family. When he wasn’t sporting Garnet and Black or out on his Harley, Billy was likely surrounded by the people who meant the world to him. He was a pillar of love for his wife, parents, and siblings, and nothing made him beam with more pride than his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his loyalty, his spirit, and his love for a good game. Go Cocks!

Billy is survived by his mother, Patricia Hartman; his loving wife, Teresa Lynn Hartman; son, “Trey” William J. Hartman, III.; daughter, Amber Nicole Brown (husband, Joshua Brown); son, Hunter Ryan Hartman; daughter, Nicole Gugel (husband, Scott Gugel); daughter, Shannon Strippy; sister, Debbie Campbell (husband, Paul Campbell); sister, Tawnee Lynn Hartman; sister, Yvonne Szelak (husband, Mike Szelak); sister, Heather Capps; grandchildren, “Ricky” Enrique Vega, Carson Gugel, Dylann Gugel, Aiden Strippy, Colton Strippy, and Landon Brown; and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William J. Hartman, Sr.

Services will be held at a later date in South Carolina. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach, Florida.
