William B. Harris 84 of Daytona Beach went home to be with the Lord on April 19 2011.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday May 3 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Boulevard Daytona Beach FL.

William was born in Roebling New Jersey on March 20 1927 to the late Joseph and Ann (Bollinger) Harris. Mr. Harris served his country proudly for 30 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. William was a veteran of World War II two tours of Vietnam and the Korean War. Following his career in the Navy William went on to work for Sears and Roebuck in shipping and receiving.

William's hobbies included watching baseball especially the Braves and New York Mets going to the beach and most importantly spending time with his family and his dog Katie. Many will remember Bill sitting under the tree at home with Katie visiting with neighbors.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 42 years Barbara Harris step children Jack Lee (Rebecca) and John Wade grandchildren Jessica Wade step grandchildren Casey Owens Dawn Monroe Jessica Monroe Richard Monroe and Sarah Monroe many nieces and nephews in Florida New Jersey and Connecticut.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ann Harris brother Joseph Harris and sister Elizabeth Beres Connecticut.
