Funeral Services for William P. Harbin Jr. age 73 of Ormond Beach who passed away Tuesday July 19th 2005 at Avante at Ormond Beach will be at 11:00am Friday July 22nd 2005 at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Leroy Stickel officiating. His family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday July 21st in the Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
Mr. Harbin was born on August 29th 1931 in Atlanta GA to William and Neva Harbin. William moved to the area in 1996 from Fayetteville GA. Mr. Harbin spent 22 years in the United States Army as a Platoon Sergeant. He had two tours in Vietnam and was awarded two campaign service stars for his duty there. He was also awarded the Korean Medal of Honor and two overseas bars. Bill was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Masonic Lodge. Bill owned and operated Target Forklift Company in Fayetteville GA. and for the past five years was a top performer agent for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. While working there he received four View From the Top awards with his last one coming in 2005.Bill loved to travel with his wife and was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Marilyn a son Benny Knight of McDonough GA 3 grandchildren Amy Skiff Marilyn Fuller Jason Knight three great-grandchildren 3 nieces Martha Greenberg Hazel Folsom Joyce Stickel and one nephew Bill Cantrell.
