William Richard Gailey , 65, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on September 9, 2021 at AdventHealth Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach. He was born on August 29, 1956 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, and he served the East Central Florida area for more than 30 years in residential mirror/shower glass and interior shelving sector and was an active member of the Flagler Home Builders Association. He also worked for the City of Daytona Beach in a part-time capacity for 20+ years. Richard was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed a round of golf in his spare time. Above anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathy Gailey of Ormond Beach, his children: Ryan and Amanda of Houston TX, Travis and Ashley of Ormond Beach, and his two grandchildren: Abel and Liliana. He also leaves behind his siblings: Roy and Wake Gailey, Patsy Story, and Gertrude Galloway and their respective families. A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 2:00-5:00 pm, with a service at 5pm, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond located at 733 W. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach.
