William G. Phillips Jr. "Bill" 83 of Ormond Beach Florida passed away on Tuesday December 7 2010. A Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday December 15 2010 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 1-2 pm with the Memorial service to follow. Mr. Phillips will be laid to rest beside his wife at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors following the service. Bill was born on August 8 1927 to the late Mr. William G. Phillips Sr and Mrs. Sarah (Nunley) Phillips. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1964 and later opened a Home Health Care Agency with his wife in Ormond Beach. Bill was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed volunteering his time providing words of comfort as a minister to hospitals Hospices and to those in need. Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his beloved wife Juanita parents William and Sarah Phillips; brother Emmitt Phillips; and grandchildren Gail Ann and Infant Phillips. Survivors include sons William G. Phillips III (Cherie) Justin Paul Phillips and mother Luz grandsons Retired U.S Army CWO William G. Phillips IV and Richard Phillips; granddaughters Melissa Katherine and Sheena Phillips five great granddaughters one great grandson; brother Chet (Shirley) Phillips; sisters Evelyn (Charlie) Rogers and Gail (Lee) Leinaker beloved niece Doris (Joe) Reichart; sister in law Florence Riffe Powell and many extend family members and friends.
