Memorial service for William A. Deaver age 84 who passed away on Tuesday Feb. 6 2007 will be held on Saturday Feb. 10th at 1:00 PM at the Deland Elks Lodge #1463 150 S. Clara Ave. Deland FL.
Mr. Deaver was born July 12 1922 to the late Paul and Mary Deaver and has been a resident of this area since 1990 moving here from Hampton VA. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII and a former fire fighter while living in Grand Rapids MI. He retired in 1982 from NASA as a Procurement Officer and was a life time member of the BPOE Elks. Locally he was a member of Lodge # 1463 Deland. As a member of the Elks he was a former Exalted Ruler while living in Hampton VA Lodge #366 and was a member of the Deland United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 61 years Virginia; daughter Carolyn Hayslett of Orange City; a sister Hazel Norris of Buchanan VA; grand daughter Theresa Williams of Deland FL; best friend and nephew Steve Wood. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to BOPE Elks Lodge # 1463 150 S. Clara Ave. Deland FL 32721.
