William Christopher
Cullen
Feb 24, 1936 — Sep 18, 2026
William C. Cullen of Palm Coast, FL left this earth on September 18, 2026. We are sure he is crossing emerald hills to reunite with the love of his life, Harriet; guided only by the vision of her beautiful smile.
Bill was born on the kitchen table in Pelham, NY on February 24, 1936, and grew up in the little town of Pelham, NY with his mother Josephine, his father Christopher and his older sister, Gloria.
He graduated high school and enlisted in the army and was stationed at Fort Wolters in Mineral Wells, TX. He married his beloved Harriet in a little chapel on the base in the heat of a Texas summer and never looked at another woman again. They settled in an iconic New England town in Connecticut with their four young daughters.
Driven by a strong work ethic, Bill put himself through college while balancing a demanding full-time job. His dedication paved the way for a lifelong career in management.
While Bill took great pride in his professional achievements, his true wealth lay in his passions and the people he loved. Family came first, serving as the anchor of his life. An active man with an intellectual mind, Bill could be found challenging someone on the tennis court as much as he could be lost in the pages of a historical biography. He possessed a deep appreciation for the Earth, whether he was birdwatching, relaxing on the beach, or exploring quiet wooded trails with his loyal dogs. Our favorite moments were spent climbing onto his shoulders and leaping into lakes with joy.
When fall arrived, Bill’s passion shifted to football season. He was a devoted football fan who rarely missed a kickoff, cheering on his favorite teams: the Giants, the Jets, and the Buffalo Bills. He approached life with a warm heart and a dry sense of humor. He loved to imbibe in an ice-cold beer and a shot of whiskey with those he loved.
Our Dad’s/Da’s//Papa’s departure leaves a hole in our lives and in all that loved him.
May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Until we meet again…
