William (Bill) A. Cross passed Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his home in Ormond Beach, FL. Bill was born February 10, 1936 in Waycross, Georgia.

Bill graduated from Deland High School in 1954. After graduation he attended Stetson University and The University of Florida graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering. Bill was the City Engineer for Ormond Beach in the 1960's. He was Vice President of Buena Vista Construction Company, which was the lead construction company that built Walt Disney World. He was the head Civil Engineer and Vice President for Mondex and The Trails, Inc. In 1990 he opened his own company, W.A. Cross Consulting Engineering.

Bill enjoyed hunting in Idaho, Alaska and abroad. He was on a golf league for many years and hardly ever missed a Wednesday tee time. He was an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoyed season tickets for years.

In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by his first wife Colleen J. Cross, his daughter Sandra Rawlins and his brother Art Cross. Surviving, in addition to his second wife Beverly Bradshaw Cross are, his brothers Robert Cross and his wife Dorothy, Don Cross, his children Debra Lawson, Karen Cross-Fauske and her husband Scot, Kathy Cross, Deana Addison and Evan Butner; five grandchildren Savannah Lawson, Chelsea McDonough and her husband Colt, John (Jac) Cencerik III and Maximus Cencerik; two great-grandchildren Ella and Leah McDonough.

A remembrance service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11AM at the Ormond Beach chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes, 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
