Private Funeral Services for William C. Burson Sr. age 90 of Williamsburg Place Daytona Beach FL will be held on June 21 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Daytona Memorial Park. William passed away at Halifax Medical Center Daytona Beach FL on Fathers Day June 18 2006. He was born on July 28 1915 in East Liverpool Ohio to Roy Cleaver Burson and Maud Offord Burson. He worked for Crucible Steel in Midland PA and retired from there in 1971 after 31 years service. On February 12 1946 he married Virginia Rose Fox and spent the next 60 years loving her. Together they raised a son and a daughter in East Liverpool Ohio then retired to Daytona Beach in 1971. He was a member of the White Chapel Church of God in S. Daytona which he loved and where a memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. William loved Southern Gospel Music concerts also.
He is survived by his loving wife Virginia; a son William C. Barbara Ann Burson Jr. of Xenia Ohio and their son and grandson William C. Burson III and William C. Burson IV. A daughter Linda Gae Massey of New Castle PA and her 4 children Mike Mark & Matthew Massey and Elizabeth Jermyn Massey. Also a sister Charlotte Cole and brother Robert Burson both of East Liverpool Ohio. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers Ralph Roy and Paul Burson. William has 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to White Chapel Church of God 1730 S. Ridgewood Ave S. Daytona FL 32119.
