William Fleming Burbank residing in New Smyrna Beach Florida died June 25th 2010 at the age of 79. He was born in Fort Wayne Indiana to William Fleming Burbank and Iora Hutchinson Burbank on September 27 1930.
After attending Howell Military School North Side High School and Tri-State University in Fort Wayne Indiana he joined our United States Air Force as a jet engine specialist and earned the Bronze Star Korean Service medal and United Nations Service Medal. After Bill's honorable discharge he married Barbara Jane Altman also of Fort Wayne Indiana.
Upon moving his wife son and two daughters to Asheville in 1964 he owned multiple Yamaha Suzuki and Honda dealerships throughout the Southeast. Bill was also a Shriner.
Bill is survived by his three children William Fleming Burbank IV (Leanne) of Delray Beach Florida Bonny Burbank Shuptrine (Alan) of Lookout Mountain Tennessee and Robin Burbank Swain (Jay) of Asheville North Carolina. Grandchildren are William Fleming Burbank V Bron Michael Burbank Savannah Marie Burbank Emily Elizabeth Burbank Jacob Alan Burbank Shuptrine Benjamin Preston Burbank Shuptrine Samantha Altman Swain and James Jackson Swain III. Bill is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews and sisters Gloria Burbank McGill (Thomas) of Glendale California and Marilyn Burbank Swathwood of Fort Wayne.
