Funeral Services for William G. ?Bill? Brant Sr. age 82 of Holly Hill who died Saturday June 18 2005 at his residence will be Wednesday June 22 2005 at 11:00am in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Rev. Jerry Webb as the officiant. His family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday June 21 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
Mr. Brant was born on May 6 1923 in Statesboro GA to William H. and Sadie Hodges Brant and moved to this area from Sylvania-Statesboro GA in 1945. Bill served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was the owner of Volusia Pump Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Brant will always be remembered for his ever present sense of humor high moral values character and dedication to his family. Bill enjoyed fishing auto racing and the most important thing of all to him was his family.
He was predeceased by a son Tommy and a son-in-law Dale Pautz.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Myrtle a son Bill Brant Jr. and his wife Joyce of Melbourne FL 3 daughters: Bonnie Pautz of DeLand FL Connie Batt and her husband Chris of Melbourne FL and Beverly Taylor and her husband Brad of Ormond Beach FL 4 grandchildren: Jennifer Teri Christine and April and 2 great grandchildren due in August.
