William Joseph Wood (Bill) age 49 passed away Sunday August 2 2009. A memorial gathering will be held Monday August 10 2009; 6:00-8:00 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home and a memorial Mass will be held Tuesday August 11 2009; 9:00 AM; at the Basilica of Saint Paul 317 Mullally Street (386) 252-5422 followed by and interment at Daytona Memorial Park All locations are in Daytona Beach FL 32114

William was born and raised in Daytona Beach Florida; he graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1978. A college graduate of The University of Florida in 1982 with 2nd highest honors of a Bachelor of Arts degree. He resided in Columbia SC since 2000 where he worked as a Realtor.

A loving husband father son & brother Bill is survived by his wife Diane M. daughter Ashley M. (19) his mother Barbara Wood his sisters Christine Wood-White and her husband Kevin White and niece Abigail White - Sister Karen Rock and her husband Paul Rock and niece Kiley Rock. Sister in-law Debbie Lesh husband Thomas and nephew Kristopher Brother in-law T.R. Weatherly and his wife Renne nephew Jeffery Brother in-law Donny Bassett and many aunts uncles and cousins.

He was loved dearly by everyone who knew him. Bill was truly talented with writing songs and singing along with playing his guitar. He loved the Florida Gators and playing his video games. Most of all his family was his world.
