William J. Ireland "Bill" 74 of Holly Hill passed away peacefully Thursday January 5 2012 surrounded by family.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday January 14 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The family will receive guests from 3pm until the time of service at 4pm.

Bill was a Certified Addiction Professional who devoted his life to his passion of helping others and saving lives. He worked for the Community Outreach Service CORS and was an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous for over 35 years. Bill was a gentle caring person who put others first and lived his life with true meaning. He will be deeply missed by those he touched.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Richard Ireland and mother-in -law Nina Boyd.

He is survived by his beloved wife Janet Ireland children Jay Ireland Sean (Mirta) Ireland Jillian (Michael) Vallee step children Daniel Morse and Kendra (Nicholas) Pitillo siblings Richard (Nancy Jean) Ireland David (Sue) Ireland and Sharon (Steve) Simpson eight grandchildren twelve great grandchildren cats Keli and Mocha many extended family members and close friends.
