William (Bill) Bahmueller, age 94, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA to Frida and Gottlob Bahmueller. Bill raised his family with his first wife, Louise Bahmueller, in Bucks County, Pa.
After graduating from Northeast High School in Philadelphia, he worked at his uncle's candy store. In January of 1952, Bill enlisted in the Army and was discharged in December 1953. He was a reservist for another 6 years. After the army, Bill started out as a lineman for Bell Telephone where he would work for the next 32 years when he retired as an engineer. During his time in Pennsylvania, Bill enjoyed gardening and model trains.
After the passing of his first wife, Bill met and married his 2nd wife, the late Frances Alice (Smith) Bahmueller and moved to Port Orange, FL. During his time in Florida, Bill was active with his church where he garnered the nickname the "Cookie man" as he would bake cookies for the church weekly. Bill loved to travel and visit new places in his motorhome. He also continued his love for gardening and became a master gardener from the University of Florida.
Bill is survived by his children Mark (Wendy) Bahmueller, Stephen (Gloria) Bahmueller, Andrew (Heidi) Bahmueller, grandchildren: Eric, Lisa, Randy, Madeline, Gretchen, Blake; and great grandchild: William; Stepson, Thomas Madison, step grandchildren, Shawn (Christina) Madison, Shannon (Scott) Lunsford, Tara Madison, Fred (Kim) Hall III, Evan Madison and 6 step great-grandchildren.
