Funeral service to honor the life of William R. Appenzellar a kind and gentle man who died Friday February 5 will be at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 South Beach Street Daytona Beach at 12 noon February 10. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12 the same day. He was a loving and devoted husband father grandfather and great grandfather. He was born in Port Orange FL on January 9 1922 to Ora Ralph and Emma Need Appenzellar. He is survived by Juanita loving wife of 67 years two daughters Cherry Evans and Rebecca (Jack) Ferguson 5 grandchildren Kelly Hudson (Tim) Billy Evans (Ellen) Pam Evans John Ferguson (Kelly) and Amy Carbajal (Michael) and 10 great grandchildren. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1939 and worked for Higgins Aircraft in New Orleans during the war was a partner in Service Paint and Glass Co. for 22 years and owned Appenzellar Glass Co. for 26 years. He loved to laugh and enjoyed fishing boating flying traveling his wood working shop and playing cards with friends and family. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and claimed Christ as his Lord and Savior. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach.
