Willard Dean Walker, 77 of Port Orange, resident of the area since 1965 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017. He passed quietly at home surrounded by family and friends, after a long illness. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he moved to Florida in 1956. He was a graduate of North Miami High School, and served four years in the US Air Force. He was a retired Real Estate Broker and Developer. Prior to moving to this area he owned and operated an art supply store, studio and gallery in Hollywood, FL. He had a passion for art, antique cars, Harley's and country music. He loved working in the yard. Willard is survived by his wife of 55 years Reta, two sons, Paul of Port Orange, and Don (Dori) of Deland, a daughter Trish of Louisiana, grandchildren, Marissa and Joe and great grandson Jace. He was predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Willard Walker and his brother Don. Special thanks to his doctors, nurses and hospice for their compassion and excellent care he received throughout his illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors, Samaritans Purse or Second Harvest Food Bank. Service will be held Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at 2:00pm, with a gathering of family & friends from 12:00 pm until time of service, at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Chapel, 1201 Dunlawton, Port Orange, FL.
