Wilhelmina was born in Muskegon Michigan to Peter and Dorothy Slagter on March 1 1917 and was an only child. She grew up on the family's celery farm sold produce and flowers at the farmers market where she was known as "Blondie" by family and friends which her father had put on the spare wheel cover of his automobile. An article was also written about her in the Rotary Paper in regards to the quality of the produce sold.

Wilhelmina met Andrew Pustai in Muskegon Michigan where they were married on March 29 1941. During WWII she worked in several aircraft factories in addition to working on the family farm. In the early part of 1946 while waiting for Andrew's return from overseas she packed up their belongings and drove to Daytona Beach FL by herself to meet up with long time friends. Wilhelmina made Holly Hill FL her home where they raised 5 children. She remained in the home they purchased in 1947 until her passing.

Wilhelmina loved family friends impromptu parties gardening bowling playing cards and crafts (especially owls). She also enjoyed playing the accordion polka music and Lawrence Welk. She was written up numerous times in the News Journal for her vegetables beautiful flowers and plants.

Wilhelmina was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 120 Holly Hill FL. In the 70's she worked as an airmail messenger of the USPS.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to their favorite charity in the name of their mother.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 29 2011 at 2:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona and a Funeral Celebration at 3:00 P.M.

Peter (Tina) Pustai Son Holly Hill FL. Steven (Brooke) Pustai son both have passed. Grandchildren: Rebecca (Shon) Haller Myrick Ormond Beach FL. Michael Pustai Holly Hill FL. Robert Haller Port Orange FL. George Pustai Holly Hill FL. Stevienie Walton Pustai Bunnell FL. Great-Grandchildren: Dylan Pustai Holly Hill FL. Hayden Myrick Ormond Beach FL.
