Obituary

Wiley F. Bays Jr. 88 of Port Orange went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 28 2010. A memorial service in his honor will be scheduled during the month of June 2010 at the La Costa Village Clubhouse. Wiley was born and raised in Oak Hill WV to Wiley and Rosalie Peery Bays. He married his loving wife Margaret A. Fisher in December 11 1940 and had five children. Wiley served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Wiley was a crop duster and a school bus driver for 26 years in Rochelle IL. He enjoyed tennis golf bowling bicycling and most of all flying. As a pilot he accumulated in excess of 25 000 flying hours. Wiley and his wife moved to Port Orange in 1991. Both he and his wife have been active members of the White Chapel Church of God in South Daytona. He will be missed for his caring and generosity for others as he always placed his family and friends first and foremost before himself. Left to cherish their memories of their lives together are his wife Margaret; children Gary (wife Joan) of Gainesville GA Sandy of Daytona Beach Lana of Rochelle IL Wayne (wife Linda) of Lacey WA and Charles (companion Kevin Yarina) of Daytona Beach; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and brother Larry (wife Annette) of Santa Fe NM.
