Wilbert A. Lanier Sr.
November 13 1929 - June 9 2007
Wilbert A. Lanier 77 a retired Engineer of Picatinny Arsenal and a Reserved Captain in the Army passed away on Saturday June 9 2007. He received the rank of 1st Lietenant while attending North Carolina A&T University ROTC and he received the Bronze Star in the Korean War.
Mr. Lanier was born in Deland FL. he moved to New Jersey and returned to Florida after he and his wife of 57 years Carrie retired.
Survivors include his wife Carrie 4 sons Wilbert A. Lanier of Greensboro NC Edwin B. Lanier of Tallahassee FL. Gregory A. Lanier of Ocoee FL. Michael A. Lanier of Huntsville AL; daughter Donna M. Brown of Tampa FL. 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday June 13 2007 in Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Friday June 15 20076 at First A.M.E. Church of Palm Coast. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. with military honors in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL
