Wesley Miguel Diaz Lugo, retired Army Major, passed away on Monday, August 17th.

Wesley was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He received his BS from Interamericana University and his Masters from Webster College. Wesley was a veteran of Desert Storm and later served as an Intelligence Officer based at the Pentagon in Washington DC. After his retirement from the Army, he became a District Manager and Franchise Director for H&R Block International. He later joined his wife in Fast Tax, an independent accounting firm, as General Manager.

He retired to Daytona Beach in 2014. Wesley's interests included playing the organ, pickle ball, golf and yachting. He was a member of The Florida Yacht Club, Jacksonville and the Oceanside Country Club, Ormond Beach.

He is survived by his wife Nicolette Diaz, his children Karina and Yanira Diaz; his son-in-law Jose Figueroa; his grandchildren Yadira, Ian, and Sofia Figueroa and his step children Matthew and Christa Murphy.

A memorial service to celebrate Wesley's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, at Lohman Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, FL. The family welcomes friends to gather at 2pm with the service to follow.
