Memorial Services for Wendy Jean DeAngelo-Zapert age 53 of Ormond Beach will be held
at 1:00 pm on Sunday April24 2005 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Wendy was born in Trenton New Jersey on September 5 1951 to Louis and Waneta DeAngelo and moved to this area in 1970 from New Jersey. She attended Tampa University in the 1970?s and received her nursing degree from D.B.C.C. in 1980.
Wendy spent most of her time and energy helping others. She worked locally at Halifax Hospital as well as at a hospice care center in California as a Registered Nurse. She was also a postal carrier in Port Orange from 1991 through 2005 where for some time she advocated for her colleagues as Union Shop Steward. Wendy had an interest in law and justice and used her knowledge to work for social and political change. She was also a talented seamstress; she designed a line of her own clothing and worked as a costume designer for musical theatre.
Wendy passed away on April 8 2005 at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial in Ormond Beach
Left to cherish her memories are her mother Waneta DeAngelo of Daytona Beach; son Joseph Zapert of Los Angeles CA; daughter Amber Heaphy of Ormond Beach; brother Mark DeAngelo of South Daytona and nephew Franz Hale of South Daytona.
Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home.
