Obituary

Wendy (MacBain) Peterson passed away at her home in Daytona Beach on November 22, 2017. She was born in Syracuse, New York on November 16, 1960. She was married to the love of her life, Tom, for 36 years. They started dating forty years ago while attending Liverpool High School in Liverpool, New York. Wendy and Tom have two beautiful young men, Michael and Christopher.

Wendy graduated from the University of Central Florida with an M.B.A., majoring in finance. During her career managing million- dollar budgets, she always believed that people were the most valuable asset of any organization.

She was a member of or involved in many organizations including Daytona Beach West Rotary Club, Volusia County Women's Professional Network, Childcare Resource Network, Daytona Beach Leadership Alumni, Spruce Creek High School Academy of Finance and the many ministries of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. As long as she was able, she gave her professional help to all who needed her.

She is survived by her husband Tom; her sons Michael and Christopher; her mother Marilyn Lynch (Larry); her sisters Vicki MacBain and Kim Reed (Tom). She was predeceased by her sister Christine Laughlin and her father, Robert F. MacBain. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Jeanne Peterson and her father-in-law Raymond Peterson and his wife Judy and her sisters-in-law Kym Shackleton (Jim), and Cathy Percy and Sandi Payne. She is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts in Wendy's memory may be made to the Outreach Ministry of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, Florida; your local Humane Society or your favorite charity.

Tom, Michael, and Christopher thank you all for your love, help and support. She will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be Monday, November 27th, 2017, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Raymond O'Leary at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017, at 10:00am.
