Obituary

Wayne Wilson Wagner Sr. passed away peacefully and suddenly at his home on August 6th, 2015 at the age of 55. He was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on May 4th, 1960 to Ira and Jeannie Wagner, and attended both Elementary and High School in his hometown. From 1978 through 1983, Wayne proudly served his country in the U. S. Army as an infantryman, earning awards and medals in both marksmanship and as a sharpshooter. During his service time, he met and married his true love, Sharon, with whom he would spend the next 36 years. After being discharged from service in 1983, Wayne and Sharon settled in Texas before moving to Daytona Beach in 1984. It was here in Daytona that Wayne entered the construction industry and helped to develop Daytona Beach as one the best concrete field technicians in the area. Wayne had many passions in his life, but most important to him was his family. Wayne also had a special place in his soul for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and The Penn State Nittany Lions. Those left to cherish Wayne's memory are his wife, Sharon, sons Wayne Jr. ( Robin ),and Josh (Trudie ), and his daughter Tiffanie R. Fordham (David) along with his six grandchildren, Brandon, Caitlyn, Wayne III, Jeremy, Thomas, and Emily who is expected in December. Wayne is also survived by his father, Ira Wagner, brothers, Sonny and Gary and his sister Tammy Miller. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 4- 6 p.m. Wayne will be laid to rest at The National Cemetery in Jacksonville on Thursday.
