Wayne Petersen, 86, of Port Orange, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  He was born on July 9, 1937 in Highland Park, Illinois and served in the United States Air Force.  He was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was a dedicated volunteer at the Holy Cross Thrift Store.  He also enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Janice Petersen; daughter, Katherine Dzieglewicz (husband, David Dzieglewicz); daughter, Linda Harris (husband, Tim Harris); daughter, Barbara Petersen; son, Michael W. Petersen (wife, Lisa Petersen); brother, Norman Petersen; 8 grandchildren and 6 ½ great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church located at 724 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, Florida 32119.
