Warren D. Hight, 92, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away May 31, 2013 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy, SW Palm Coast. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 10:30 am at the St Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
Warren was born in Magnet, Nebraska. As a child he moved to Colorado where he graduated from Brighton High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, earning the American Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Warren was employed as a meteorological technician for NOAA, retiring in 1976. In 1977 Warren relocated to Palm Coast. He was a member of St Thomas Episcopal Church, the VFW 8696, NARFE, and the Episcopal Brotherhood. Warren also volunteered with the Boy Scouts.
Warren was preceded in death by his first wife Edna in 1983, brothers Bud, Jack, Jim and Gene, sisters Helen, Doris, and Berdine. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Margaret of Palm Coast; son John Robert Hight (Henrietta) of Florida, Al Hight (Jean) of California, Dave Hight (Dee) of Colorado; daughters Kerry Lee Daniel (Maria Roberts) of North Carolina; daughters by marriage Joan Wallace (James) of Palm Coast, Patricia Bartolillo (John) of Maryland. He was also the loving grandfather of three grandchildren by marriage: Andrea Tao (Patrick) of Wisconsin, James T. Wallace II of Wisconsin, and Diana Hugue (Mathew Bellard) of Maryland; great granddaughter by marriage Abigail Hugue; and six grandcats.
