Wanda Montgomery 65 of Daytona Beach lost her long courageous battle with cancer and went to be with her savior April 24. After being diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer
(never smoked) and given 2-4 months in 2007 she refused to give up saying she had things to do and love to give. Wanda was born July 29 1943 to Jessie and Pauline Allison who have preceded her in death and lived in Highland Indiana before coming to this area 27 years ago. She leaves behind her husband of 27 years Jim Montgomery and three sisters Louise (Robert) Springer of Florence AL; Bonnie (Gene) Cornell of Telford TN; Peggy (Bill) Lea of Pt. Orange FL. Wanda loved her combined family of four daughters Cynthia Kroslack of Ormond Beach; Diana (Charles) Johnson of Centennial CO; Coleen (Richard) Benson of Pt. Orange; Lisa (Britt) Hall of Ormond Beach; and one son Richard (Carolina) of Naples FL. Her seven grandchildren were her pride and joy Jason Kroslack Nicholas Johnson Amanda and Brittany Koeller Kelly and Allison Hall Justin Benson and her great granddaughter Brooke Kroslack will truly miss her love. And many nieces and nephews. Wanda was owner and broker of Daytona Vacations Inc. and helped numerous clients in the rentals and resale of timeshare vacation plans over the last 18 years. Wanda enjoyed athletics and excelled in water-skiing volleyball tennis fast pitch softball carried 170+bowling average but golf was the game she loved most. She had numerous holes-in-one was Indigo's lady's club champion twice. A special women whose beauty personality and honesty was immediately appreciated by all who she came into contact with she will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Wednesday April 29 2009 at 4:00pm honoring her memory at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Wanda's memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32129
