Obituary

Wanda Lear, 75, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away on February 5, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1948, in Harlan, KY, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gooden. Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Wanda was known for her intelligence, sense of humor, and fun-loving nature. She had a heart full of love, kindness, and generosity for her family and friends. Wanda will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Wanda had a successful career as a registered nurse, working in various healthcare settings throughout her life. She dedicated her time and skills to caring for and educating others. She retired as a Professor of Nursing from Daytona State College.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Leslie McClung, her son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Lisa Lear, as well as her grandchildren, Cameron Salisbury, Thomas Lear, and Robert Lear. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Lee Daniels, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Wanda's life will be held in Kentucky in the spring. The family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life. The details of the celebration will be announced at a later date.
