Walter Yee beloved husband of Betty father of Ronald father-in-law of Lily brother of Chester uncle of Rita and Tommy; former Chief Photographer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC quietly passed away on the morning of Thursday December 23 2004 at the age of 80. He was born on February 9 1924 in Guangzhou China and immigrated to the USA in 1938 to join his father and brother in NYC. In 1952 he achieved the American dream becoming a homeowner in just 14 years. That same year he began his career at the Photo Studio of MMA in NYC. In 1955 he met his wife Betty and they were married in 1956. Son Ronald was born in 1957. At the MMA he worked his way up to the title of Chief Photographer a title he held for a decade until his retirement in 1989. Seeking a warmer climate he and Betty moved that year to their new home in Daytona Beach Shores. There they enjoyed 15 wonderful years together. He is with God now and has found eternal peace happiness and serenity. A private wake was held for his immediate family soon after his passing at the Lohman Ormond Funeral Home and he will go to his final resting place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto Canada.
