Obituary

Walter Wolfing passed away June 8th, 2013 with his beloved son Peter and daughter Patricia by his side.

He was born on Dec 3rd, 1922 in Suffern, New York. He decided to join the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II proudly serving his country. Walter was Plant Supervisor for Orange & Rockland Utilities in New York for 20 years and then happily retired to Florida. He settled in Palm Coast. Walter enjoyed fishing and the sunny Florida weather. He was active in the Marine Corps League. He particularly loved driving up to visit his family and his old friends in New York.

Walter will be sadly missed by his children: His son Peter Wolfing (wife Pegi) of New York; his loving daughter Patricia Gnirrep (husband Jac) of New York; and his step-daughter Renate Gazzola. He was so proud of all his grandchildren: Jessica, Mary, Jac III, Damian, Brielle, Pierce, and Paige. He is also fortunate to have two great-grandchildren: Jake and Jocelyn. At Palm Coast, Walter leaves behind his sister Eleanor Sierjenski; and special lady and dear long time friend Camille Whittaker.

Services will held in upstate New York with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his brother Albert Wolfing of New York. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Condolences may be shared with the family in this online guestbook.
