Smouse Walter Leroy 76 of Wexford Way Port Orange passed away quietly Saturday May 1 2010 at home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday May 5 2010; 8:30 AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange FL. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday May 4 5-7 PM at the Port Orange chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Leroy was born March 14 1934 in Fairmont WV to Walter and Ollie Smouse. He was a veteran of the US Army and dedicated his talent as a foreman for Owens Illinois Glass Factory. He moved to Florida in 1985 and was a devoted husband loving father and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frederick Smouse and he leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years Eleanor Kay 4 children; Craig Smouse Gainesville FL Scott (Elizabeth) Smouse Bethel Park PA LeeAnne Demus Bridgeport WV and Kelly (John) Waldron Port Orange FL 8 grandchildren; Jason (Blanca) Smouse Nick Lauren and Alyssa Demus Hannah Smouse and Kyle Jenna and Tori Waldron and 2 great grandchildren; Vanessa and Sean Smouse.
