Walter Shields' Obituary
Walter C. Shields 86 of Daytona Beach passed away on August 2 2011 at Avante Nursing Center in Ormond Beach. He was born on September 1 1924 in Huntington PA.
Walter served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart.
In the 1960's he moved to this area from Huntington PA where he retired as a Bus Driver for A1 Bus lines. He was a member of the VFW Post #1590 in Daytona Beach and he loved gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 37 years; sister Jane Black of PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
