Walter W. Schlundt age 92 entered into eternal rest on April 7 2010. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 20 2010 at 11:30am at Emmaus Lutheran Church 2500 South Volusia Ave. Orange City FL. Rev. William Yesse officiating. Walter was born May 30 1917 in Northfield NJ the son of Albert and Marjorie Johnson Schlundt. After serving in the Army Air Force in World War II he joined the Pleasantville New Jersey Fire Department where he served for over 30 years retiring as Fire Chief in 1980. Walter was a Mason member of the Charles H. Mann Lodge #244 F. & A.M. in Pleasantville NJ. Left to cherish their memories of their lives together are his wife Frances Schlundt; his three sons Walter W. Schlundt Jr. and wife Lydia of Vestal NY; Raymond L. Schlundt and wife Robbie of Northfield NJ; and Steven D. Schlundt and wife Beverly also of Northfield NJ; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmaus Discretionary Fund or to a charity of your choice.
