Walter F. O'Connell 84 of Ormond Beach passed away Saturday April 17 2010. A Visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd on Wednesday April 21 2010 from 2:00pm-4:00 pm with a service immediately following.
Walter was born in New York New York on April 19 1926. He served with pride in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Walter then went on to work for Varsity Busing Company as a driver. He moved to the Ormond Beach area 13 years ago. Walter worked for Lohman Funeral Homes driving Limousines and also at the NASCAR track.
Walter enjoyed spending time with his family especially with wife Marion of 63 years. He was a devoted father loving husband and friend to all. Walter also had a wonderful singing voice and was a great jokester. His presence will be greatly missed but his life always be remembered. He is preceded in death by his Uncle Carl & Aunt Nellie Wolf father Edward O'Connell and mother Abbie O'Connell.
Survivors include his loving wife Marion O'Connell sons Walter (Margaret) O'Connell Thomas (Maria) O'Connell daughter Kathleen Corbett and Patricia (Mike) Hall grandchildren Michael O'Connell Tommy O'Connell Christine Forbick Melissa Durant Jennifer McAdams William Corbett Lauren Hall Thomas Hall Kristine Corbett Caitlin Hall and twelve great grandchildren.
