Walter L. Minix, age 82, of DeLand, Florida, passed peacefully into heaven on February 7, 2025.

Walter was a respected local pharmacist and the owner of Holly Hill Pharmacy, where he served his community with dedication and care for many years. He was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and Florida A&M University, earning his degree from their reputable pharmacy program.

He shared 64 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Donna Duke Minix, who stood faithfully by his side throughout his life. Walter was preceded in death by his beloved son, Douglas Allen Minix, in 2008.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Duke Minix, and his son, Walter L. Minix III, who will cherish his memory always.

Walter will be laid to rest 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
