Obituary

Walter L. Day 73 passed away July 21 2009 at Hospice of Volusia Flagler Port Orange after a brief battle with cancer. Walter was born in Ripley New York. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was employed by New York Central Railroad and Conrail for 37 years. Walter was a member of the VFW American Legion Moose Elks and Eagles Fraternal Organizations. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed golfing with his long-time friend Carl. He also enjoyed traveling around the Country with his wife visiting his family and many friends. Walter is survived by his wife Sharon; Son Blaine and his wife Janet; Daughters Jan and Sheryl; Grandchildren Corey Megan Erika and Mallory; three brothers and three sisters. He was pre-deceased in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial services will be held in Ohio at a later date.
